New York, New York..

We got back to our hotel too late to upload a blog on the correct day; it was a whirlwind Big Apple Monday!

We got up early and got home late. Inbetween we...

- met a delightful lady in an MTA ticket booth who gave us each a free subway ride 

- made it to Times Square on the 7 train

- helped a lady from Brooklyn to find the Times Square Olive Garden so she could eat a salad

- walked through Times Square in amazement

- shared New England clam chowder and a lobster roll

- meandered through the south part of Central Park

- stumbled upon a parade

- were awed by the majesty of St Patrick's Cathedral on 5th avenue

- went a little overboard in the Lindt store

- ate family-style Italian food at Tony's de Napoli

- went to a Broadway show that made us laugh, cry, and dance

- enjoyed the late-night lights of Times Square

- appreciated the safety of the subway after 11pm

- got a little lost walking back to the hotel, but will eventually laugh about the memory...eventually...
